- Good Points
- Very stable and well build lens. Very good and fast USM focus. Easy zooming. Very good quality of shoots even at 800 mm. Personally found the best focal length to be up to 600 mm without loosing detail. I would recommend to any serious sport or wildlife photographer. It's much easier to aim at lower focal length then zoom, than chasing object with non zoom lens.
- Bad Points
- Heavy. Requires good gimbal head and tripod. Protective case (bag) would need additional stoppers in order to protect the lens in travel. Right now the case is inappropriate for any air travel as registered luggage - requires custom made travel cases.
