- Good Points
- Steam cleaning very good!
- Bad Points
- heavy, cumbersome & poorly designed! Not even worth half what I paid for paid for it! It's very difficult to use as a vacuum cleaner too, the tank has to be emptied after each use, otherwise it stinks next time you use it. However Polti sell a very expensive perfume that you can add to the tank to mask this.
The vacuum is strong but the control button on the nozzle is stupidly designed so as to adjust the suction speed, you have hold it down & wait for the motor to rev up, there are 4 speeds so you have to continually hold this button down until the 4th speed arrives! The same polava has to be performed to reduce the speed! Subsequently the fan icon on this button wore away after 3 months use. The vacuum pipe and head only push fit onto the handle, as such they regularly come apart! The hose is not that flexible either due to the fact it contains the steam pipes. Speaking of which the connections for the steam have little O ring washers to make a seal, poor design means they frequently come off when you pull the pipes apart!
As for the accessories, they are poor quality & badly designed too! The medium sized brush head can be used without the brush as it simply slides on or off, so when your steaming with the brush it keeps sliding off!
I bought this piece of overpriced poorly designed cumbersome cleaner so I didn't need to have 2 machines in the house. Well that idea hasn't worked because it's very difficult to vacuum the stairs with the Polti. So it lives downstairs and the old Vax lives upstairs!
The cable storage under the waste bin is a good idea, however the cable is such heavy duty it's to thick to coil round & fit under the waste bin!
Faults; the machine refused to turn on 1 day after many attempts, strangely has worked fine since? Plastic clip that holds the air filter in has broken after 1 time removal of the filter (to check how dirty it was). Rubber gasket that seals between the waste bin & the main unit came out of it's frame.
To sum up my cleaner said she hates the Polti, I don't need to go to the gym, I just need to use the Polti for 10mins!

Too expensive.
It can take a long time for the steam to be ready to use (10 to 15 minutes sometimes)
